Product Introduction:

          The change in magnetization direction in ferromagnetic materials can cause a change in the lattice spacing of the medium, resulting in a change in the length and volume of the ferromagnetic material, known as the magnetostriction phenomenon, also known as the Wiedemann effect, and its inverse effect is called the Villarreal effect. The principle of magnetostrictive displacement sensor is to generate a strain pulse signal when two different magnetic fields intersect, and then calculate the time period required for this signal to be detected, in order to convert the accurate position. These two magnetic fields come from one permanent magnet in the magnetic ring and the other excitation pulse generated by electronic components in the sensor electronic compartment. The excitation pulse runs at the speed of sound along the waveguide wire made of magnetostrictive material inside the sensor. When intersecting with the permanent magnetic field in the magnetic ring, the mechanical vibration generated by the waveguide wire forms a strain pulse due to the magnetostriction phenomenon. The strain pulse is quickly detected by the sensing circuit in the electronic chamber. By multiplying the total time from the moment the excitation pulse is generated to the detection of the strain pulse by a fixed sound velocity, we can accurately calculate the position change of the magnet. This process is continuous, so whenever the position of the magnetic ring changes, the new position will be quickly measured. Since the output signal is the true position value, rather than a proportional or amplified signal, there is no signal drift or variation, and there is no need for periodic recalibration like other sensors.

Magnetostrictive sensors are non-contact and never wear out. It has the advantages of high resolution, high precision, high stability, high reliability, fast response time, and long working life. Sensors do not require recalibration or regular maintenance.

Installation precautions :


1. Before installation, check the physical object according to the assembly drawing, familiarize yourself with the names, installation positions, and installation points of each installation component, and then refer to the drawings and installation instructions for installation. The following installation steps are routine steps. Due to different on-site environments, the installation steps and methods can be flexibly adjusted according to the actual situation;

2. If conditions permit, the gate can be opened and closed to the appropriate position for installation. Generally, fully open the gate is the best installation position. According to the installation drawings, weld the measuring rod connecting bracket to the piston rod lifting ear, and install the guide sleeve onto the oil cylinder. According to the actual situation, the installation position of the clamp does not need to be strictly installed according to the positions indicated in the drawings, but should be evenly distributed, subjected to force, and easy to install. However, the position of the guide sleeve relative to the oil cylinder cannot be changed, otherwise it will cause the sensor to be in a reading blind zone when the gate is fully closed, or the sensor will have too much reading stroke, which cannot reach the design measurement stroke after resetting;

3. Choose the installation steps based on the actual situation on site. During installation, you can first assemble the guide sleeve and clamp (use the guide sleeve clamp to assemble the guide sleeve and clamp), and then lift both onto the oil cylinder together. Alternatively, you can first install the clamp on the oil cylinder, lift the casing onto the oil cylinder, and then assemble it with the clamp. Generally, you choose to assemble it first and then lift it. When installing and lifting clamps, the opening should be oriented towards the side that is convenient for installation and fixation. Before determining the position of the clamp, do not tighten the screw. Wait until the guide sleeve is adjusted to be directly above the oil cylinder and in a straight line before fixing the screw.

4. Installation precautions: (1) The measuring rod should be marked with the "working surface" label, and the side with multiple magnetic segments should be the working surface (metal can be adsorbed). If the measuring rod is removed, it must be restored with the sensing surface facing the Hall sensor; (2) Due to the smoothness of stainless steel pipes, the ropes must be firmly fixed during lifting to prevent them from falling off;

5. After fixing the guide sleeve, move the measuring rod to the gate lifting ear. Connect the joint bearing on the measuring rod to the clamp bracket on the lifting ear. Note that the clamp on the measuring rod must be in a straight line with the guide sleeve;

6. If the gate is in a fully open or fully closed state during installation, when connecting the measuring rod, you can check whether the "full range marking line" (check when fully open installation) or "zero point marking line" (check when fully closed installation) on the measuring rod is at the pipe mouth. The marking line can slightly enter the pipe (generally within 20mm into the pipe, not too much to prevent insufficient travel), but it cannot be exposed. If the marking line is exposed at the pipe mouth, the measuring rod or guide sleeve should be adjusted so that it is not outside the pipe mouth (under the premise of ample space, adjusting the connecting clamp of the measuring rod is simple). This operation is to prevent the measuring rod from being in the blind spot position of Hall sensor detection when fully closed; If the gate is not fully open or fully closed during installation, please install according to the position marked on the drawing, align the guide sleeve with the oil cylinder installation seat, as shown in the installation drawing, and adjust the position of the clamp appropriately according to the situation;

7. Install junction boxes in appropriate locations for easy installation and wiring, and effective protection. The Hall sensor and proximity switch cables are threaded through pipes and connected to a junction box (the terminals inside the junction box are defined), and then connected to the electrical control cabinet;

8. Connect the cables to the corresponding terminals inside the control cabinet according to the installation instructions.
